She’s On Board: A One-Day Training for Women Ready to Lead

Women lead with insight, accountability, and community focus—and Mississippi needs more women at the table where decisions are made. She’s On Board is a practical, one-day training designed to prepare women to serve confidently on nonprofit and civic boards. Over the course of the day, participants gain a clear understanding of board roles and responsibilities, fiduciary duties, bylaws and budgets, strategic planning, fundraising fundamentals, and how to champion equity and inclusion in boardrooms.
Guided by experienced facilitators, the training blends short talks with interactive exercises, scenario-based problem-solving, and real-world tools you can put to work immediately. Whether you’re saying “yes” to your first board invitation or looking to strengthen your impact as a current board member, you’ll leave with a playbook for good governance, a network of peers and mentors, and the confidence to lead with purpose.
