Tierra Fountain, a Mississippi Delta native, was reared in Drew, Mississippi, and graduated from Drew High School in 2011. She recently graduated from Delta State University with a master’s degree in business administration, specializing in human resource management and nonprofit management. She has a lovely 11-year-old daughter named Tatum. Tierra Fountain is the daughter of Frank Stockett and Josie Fountain. Tierra gave her life to Christ at a young age and joined Holy Grove M.B. Church in Drew, Mississippi.
She promotes for her neighborhood and actively volunteers for organizations that support families and children. She works as a program assistant for We2gether Creating Change, a nonprofit organization in her hometown that gives children and youth educational, cultural, and historical experiences. She is a facilitator, coordinator, project manager, decorator, and so on, as she seeks new opportunities to broaden her skill set while deepening her relationships to the work she loves. Tierra serves on the boards of numerous coalitions and collaboratives around Sunflower County. She was just appointed to the Sunflower County Library System Board as a board member. She is dedicated to uplifting and inspiring her community, as well as advocating for the health and prosperity of children and families.
Tierra Fountain enjoys traveling for both professional and personal reasons. She enjoys going on excursions with her daughter and creating memories with her loved ones. Tierra aspires to own many enterprises and establish a charity organization. She intends to create an apartment complex and homes for low-income families in impoverished neighborhoods. She intends to create new homes and parks in several communities for families. She intends to establish a scholarship program to assist mothers returning to college or trade school. Tierra hopes to provide jobs and improve living conditions in her town.
