Katelin Hayward
Grenada
Katelin Hayward hails Grenada, Mississippi. Armed with a B.A. in Public Policy Leadership and minors in Education and Journalism from the University of Mississippi, she has a proven track record of excellence. Her time at the university was marked by her induction into the Hall of Fame in 2022, following her impactful roles as ASB Secretary and a student delegate on the Chancellor’s Commission on the Status of Women.
Recently, Katelin earned her master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR), where she also received a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management. At UALR, she served as a graduate assistant for the Child Care Connections Program, funded by the federal grant Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS). Here, she managed payments to facilities, oversaw the spend down of annual allocations, and worked directly with parents, igniting her passion for equitable childcare access. Her dedication inside and outside of the classroom earned her the title of Outstanding Nonprofit Management Student of the Year.
Katelin’s expertise spans leadership, county and state government, urban management, domestic policy, and public relations. When she’s not making strides in her professional field, you can find Katelin staying active, enjoying the company of her fiancé, Peyton, and her German Shepherd, Brody, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
