I am Brittany Harris, a proud native of Wiggins, MS; I am a dedicated community leader and professional committed to fostering growth and development both locally and beyond. Currently serving as an alderwoman for the City of Wiggins, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a passionate drive to my role, working tirelessly to address the needs and aspirations of the community. In my capacity as an enrollment specialist for William Carey College of Health Sciences, I play a crucial role in guiding and supporting students through their academic journey.

My commitment to the community extends beyond my official roles. I actively participate in the Economic Community Committee for the City of Wiggins, where I contribute to shaping strategies that drive economic development and improve quality of life. Additionally, I am a key member of the 24-25 Youth Committee for the Mississippi Municipal League, focusing on creating opportunities and fostering leadership among young people in the state.

Currently, I am pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education, aiming to deepen my expertise and enhance my impact in the field of education. My academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in political science and legal studies, which has provided a strong foundation for my work in public service and community advocacy.

Beyond my professional and academic achievements, I am deeply engaged in community service. My leadership is marked by a genuine commitment to addressing local challenges and empowering my fellow residents. Whether through my role as an alderwoman, my contributions to various committees, or my academic pursuits, I exemplify a steadfast dedication to improving my community and advancing the field of higher education.
