Jasmine Barnes, CPA, serves as the Deputy Director of Internal Audit at MDOT, where she collaborates closely with engineering firms on intricate overhead rate assessments and leads the review of closeout audits completed by auditors across various transportation modes. Jasmine also owns and operates J BARNES CPA, PLLC, where she specializes in tax resolution and provides comprehensive accounting services, helping individuals and businesses navigate complex financial landscapes with confidence and clarity.

An Ole Miss graduate, Jasmine is widely recognized for her quick thinking and adept problem-solving abilities. As an active member of the PTA, she plays a vital role in her sons’ school community, organizing special events and contributing her expertise to enhance educational initiatives. Jasmine is also a member of the AICPA and MSCPA and is working on reviving The Alliance, an initiative where accounting and finance professionals will contribute to various community projects. Known for her exceptional dependability, she is a trusted leader not only within her professional circles but also in personal commitments.
