Rooted to Rise: Maternal Health Mississippi Convening

Why This Convening Matters
Across Mississippi, too many mothers face preventable challenges that threaten their health and well-being. Improving maternal health outcomes requires more than isolated programs — it demands an interconnected ecosystem working together.
Rooted to Rise, brought to you by the Women’s Foundation of Mississippi and our partners, is designed to strengthen that ecosystem by bringing together advocates, healthcare providers, policymakers, community leaders, and families with lived experience to:
- Share proven strategies from grassroots leaders, healthcare providers, and policy advocates.
- Identify and address persistent challenges through community-led, equity-driven solutions.
- Foster authentic relationships that break down silos and dismantle the myth of scarcity.
- Build a shared narrative grounded in the lived experiences of Mississippi families.
- Coordinate collective action for policy change, equitable funding, and sustainable partnerships.
- Begin power mapping and landscape analysis to guide long-term advocacy and impact.
Through panels, breakout sessions, storytelling, and intentional networking, this convening will help us shape a shared vision for maternal health in Mississippi — and lay the groundwork for collaborative action well beyond the event.
Your expertise, perspective, and leadership are essential to this work. Together, we can rise to meet the urgent need for maternal health equity in Mississippi.
