Job Summary
The Mississippi Maternal Health Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting the maternal and infant health grant. This role ensures compliance with funder requirements, manages program budgets and timelines, supports staff and partners, and tracks outcomes to demonstrate program impact. The Mississippi Maternal Health Project Manager will work closely with the WFM Grants and Program Manager to ensure compliance with grant agreements, funder guidelines, and organizational policies.
Essential Job Functions
- Identify and address implementation challenges and recommend corrective actions as needed
- Coordinate activities with grantees, consultants, and community partners.
- Conduct site visits and monitor reviews.
- Facilitate convenings, meetings, and check-ins to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance on grant requirements and program expectations.
- Collect and track grant data, outcomes, and grantees’ participation.
- Assist with grant reporting, program evaluation, and quality improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, social service agencies, community organizations, and public health partners.
- Participate in community coalitions and maternal and child health meetings.
- Support cross-sector efforts to reduce maternal and infant health disparities.
- Maintain professional knowledge of maternal and infant health trends, policies, and best practices.
- Adhere to organizational policies and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of nonprofit and/or philanthropic organizations preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, Nursing, Social Work, Health Education, or a related field.
- Experience working in maternal and infant health, community health, or care coordination.
- Knowledge of maternal and child health issues, health equity, and community resources.
- Knowledge and/or strong interest in maternal and infant health care policies in Mississippi.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with program coordination and grant-funded programs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and other relevant software; ability to quickly learn new technology.

Compensation
This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours per week at an hourly rate of $23.

Additional Information
This position is part-time and located at the Women’s Foundation of Mississippi office in Jackson, Mississippi. Some evenings, weekends, and overtime hours are required to accommodate activities such as Board meetings and events.
